Increase Your Veil Vocabulary

Want to impress your bridal stylist when you go shopping for a dress and accessories? Learn these three veil vocabulary words so you know how to ask for what you want (and don’t want) while at the bridal salon. All veils below are also available for purchase on our website and can be customized to your liking by contacting us here.

Blusher

A blusher is the part of a veil that covers the face. It can be connected to the back of the veil, or placed on a separate comb so that it can be removed during the day of the wedding. Many of the veils on our site feature a blusher, like the “Eponine” veil pictured here. Want to add a blusher to a veil that doesn’t already have one? We can create it custom for you!

Horsehair

Horsehair trim is a crinoline netting that we use as an edge on some of our veils. It creates a graceful cascading silhouette that photographs beautifully, seen here on our “Sugar Baby” veil.

Mantilla

'Mantilla' refers to a veil with lace at the font, framing the brides face. In the photo, this bride has customized our “Pretty Trix” veil to add a mantilla. We can customize most of our veils with a mantilla, just ask!
